Angular-contact cartridge-bearing assemblies contain a full complement of continuous-contact stainless steel balls. The bearings are immersed in waterproof grease and protected by neoprene seals. They roll on stainless steel races. The headset cups and upper bearing cover are cnc-machined from 7075-t6 aluminum. The upper cover, reinforced with an o-ring seal, keeps moisture from invading the headset. The cup profile is more compact, yielding lower weight and a lower stack height. |
